Les Miserable Book Sleeve
This cover features two of the main characters of the story via photos of the characters from the movie. The front cover shows Jean later in the story where he is a well respected man. Behind him is a portion of The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. This calls back to the French Revolution that is a main point of the story line. The back cover shows Javert who is a strict enforcer of laws. Behind him, a torn and burned French flag with the words "Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise". The spine has Les Miserables with a ship connected to a rope. This represents a scene in the story where prisoners, including Jean, had to pull huge ships into ports with large ropes.
